Totnes Young Farmers continue to rasie incredible funds for local charities
Throughout the last 12 months, Totnes Young Farmers with its 65 members have been busy raising a colossal £22,000 for two brilliant charities; Devon Air Ambulance and Cystic Fibrosis.
Whether it is a charity log chop, Christmas quiz, running wedding bars or a charity summer ball with an auction of promises, Totnes YFC have put together an astonishing £22,000 for donation to the two charities, Devon Air Ambulance and The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Both of which will soon be the recipients of £11,000 each thanks to Totnes YFC and its members.
Club Chairman, Niall Tewson said, "It is really great to be able to support two fantastic charities that are so close to our hearts, with such a significant sum of money! We have had such a great year, and our members have done an incredible job, putting in a lot of hard work and definitely having a good time as well."
Club Secretary, Lizzie Caunter continued, "It was great to be able to finish off the year with our summer ball which raised an unbelievable £17,500 for our charities. The support from family, friends, members and local businesses was amazing and I would like to thank everyone that made it such a success!'
The club is just one of 38 in Devon and is open to anyone from the age of 10 through to 26. Building on such a great year, the Chairman, Secretary and Club Committee for 2019/20 we will be hosting a New Members evening on Thursday the 7th of November and would welcome anyone who wishes to come along to see what it is all about!
